This intrepid reporter and his crew took to the streets, hallways and offices of Downtown Waukegan to search for ordinary people who had a story to tell. We found some. The real-life perspectives they shared with the BeefStakes team represent the human side of a relatively inhuman endeavor:
Bill Smith, a Planning Specialist in the County Planning Office, told us a heartwarming tale of the spirit of competition. In his words, the message of BeefStakes really hits home - we're all on this planet together, whether we like it or not. Mr. Smith summed up his story with the timeless advice: "Let's Make the Best of It."
Lucy Rodriguez, Part-Time Accountant in a local bank, Full-Time Mom of 3, explained to our crew how BeefStakes touched her life in an unexpected way. We like to call this segment "Map of a Woman's Heart."
Peter Fitzsimmons, Tax Lien Ombudsman for Lake County, shared with us a story of human tragedy and triumph and showed us all how BeefStakes could improve the lives of many people through a simple concept called hope. Here's Mr. Fitzsimmons in a piece entitled "Keep Hope Alive."
Tune in next time to Man on the Street. We hope you enjoyed your stay with us.
