Go Away Ketchup

As soon as I felt hungry for lunch this past Saturday, my first one-pound package of ground beef from my slaughtered, processed Belted Galloway steer went straight on the grill. It looked plain enough out of the package. Take a peek at it, all pale and washed-out.

But that's the last time I say ANYTHING disparaging about my organic steer-meat. It's so damned good there wasn't any reason to put condiments on it. Condiments are BENEATH my belted galloway steer. Condiments would mask the sublime taste of his tender, succulent flesh.

Incidentally, the mayo in the photo is just for color balance. I really mean it, this meat is too good for condiments. I'm not kidding. No, seriously.

You really need to turn down the heat on that fancy-dancy grill of yourn. Look at that poor meat, so overcooked... if it's really so good, I'd go right at it in the raw, you know.

You already wasted the poor fellow. Now don't go and waste the poor fellow.
