Scream

You know that famous Munch painting, the only one most people have ever seen, "The Scream"?

Well, I don't know exactly what the subject was supposed to be feeling in the moment captured in that famous image. But I can bet it was not pleasure.

No, pleasure feels good, as is rarely known to elicit screams. I know the difference. In particular, when Guy thoughtfully posted yet another gorgeous picture of steaks in triplicate, I felt pleasure. I had not even the remotest interest in screaming while gazing on these wholesome, sizzling steaks.

But I read the caption. And it turned the blood in my veins to ice water. My opponent apparently didn't find these miracles of creation particularly worthy of his palate:

"The steaks just didn't taste very good. And I had such high hopes. I couldn't even finish my second one. I threw the remainders away in disgust."

I wonder which one of those steaks made it safely into his mouth, and which ones were destined for the garbage? Ah, the horror. I'm almost afraid to meet my opponent when he returns to the United States later this summer. Will I too be found not to his liking? Will I too, or my remainders, be thrown away in disgust? Will I be yet another piece of meat, cast aside? Even marinated in piss, I would deserve more respect than that.

If meat could scream, our ears would be bleeding by now.

...and this from a guy who in the last week penned the words, "steak pictures get somewhat repetitious (don't you think ?)"...

Glad you approve of the graphics. I've been assiduously working to improve my styling and photography.

And I'm sure that, once I've returned to the states and found myself in your esteemed company, I won't want for desire to continue finding myself thuswise accompanied.

As for steaks screaming, yes, I have experienced some of that, what with all the "moos" and death threats. Nothing lately. I'll keep you posted.

Just stay out of the basement and you'll be fine.

Are you refering to your Silence of the Lambs thing going on down there? Or your clandestine mutant beef genetics lab?
