I am an American. I have never tasted Rendang, my opponent’s apparent beef dish of choice, although I’m sure it can be had if I look hard enough. I am sure I would like it, being a lover of beef. But why bother, when the most wholesome, American-made food is here right in front of me. Meat and potatoes:
I sopped up the gravy from this delicious American ribeye steak, American born and raised by Laura’s Lean Beef (TM) (7 ounces, 325 total) with a store-bought dinner roll. The green beans are grown somewhere in Southern Illinois, no doubt. The potatoes are, I assume, from Idaho. That’s right, food made right here in America, for an American. God Bless America!
